Arrival in Jo'burg then race to Cape Town

We're writing from an internet cafe in Cape Town as Aditi & I wait to catch a Rikki to go & climb Table Mountain!
So we arrived in Cape Town your 6:15am, but only about 8:15pm local here which made for a very long day. The 14 hour international flight was actually quite OK in economy. I had an aisle seat so plenty of room & Aditi has little legs anyway! Watched 3 movies & read the local papers & some books, no worries.
Plane was 1/2 hour late departing, but that was actually good as then they shifted us to a later domestic flight which ensured that we caught it. And having been mucked around by the late departure, they put us in business class to fly domestic to Cape Town! Awesome! Had camembert cheese & wine, soup & roast beef & even plenty of leg room for me!

Then arrived in Johannesburg airport & cleared customs easily & quickly, even with donated meds. Then a bit of trouble: the Orphanage has asked us to simply leave the meds in the Post Office within Intern. Terminal: but the guy wanted too specific date/time/person pick up data & would not accept!! So Aditi & I raced quickly with the meds across to domestic departures & make our flight OK, with meds in tow. Damnit! Shuttle bus easily to hotel & sleep, sleep for 9 hours to kind of catch up to local time.
Then we rocked up first thing to a post office & was dreading the postage cost all across the country: but it only came to 58 ZAR (South African Rand) = about $12!!! Hooray!

Now we have about 3 days in Cape Town before likely hiring a car & trekking across the country.
Lots of love, hope you are all well & will talk to you soon!
